History

Founded in November 1992, The Partnership CDC (community development corporation) is dedicated to addressing the issues of affordable housing, job creation and economic development in inner city Philadelphia. More specifically, The Partnership CDC develops affordable housing for both rental and homeownership; acts as a facilitator to attract and retain businesses in West Philadelphia and University City; and works to create new jobs through commercial corridor revitalization.

The Partnership CDC has defined its target area as 40th Street to 63rd Street, and Market Street to Baltimore Avenue. Our results over the past 14 years have been extraordinary. We have built 350 units of affordable housing, provided credit counseling and financial literacy to 6,400 families, created more than 100 new jobs, and invested $60 million dollars in the community. TPCDC has an excellent staff that serves clients from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on weekdays, and offers homeownership education classes in the evenings.
