BDL 325 - Building Infrared Thermography

Course Length:  16 hour

Course Description:  This course is designed to give new and experienced thermographers a solid understanding of the infrared (IR) energy audit process. Students will learn how to successfully operate a handheld infrared camera and efficiently incorporate it into their businesses.  Topics include IR science and theory, single- and multi-family building analysis, heat transfer, moisture detection, creating IR inspection report, and more. The course utilizes both hands-on and classroom training, emphasizing practical knowledge and skills training.

Prerequisites: Recommended: Prior experience and/or training in energy auditing, weatherization installation and/or building science.
