Title: Home Energy Auditor

Reports to: Auditing and Inspection Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Educate residents about how to save energy in their home
• Demonstrate the ability to read utility bills to determine excess energy usage.
• Use diagnostic equipment including blower door, manometer, electric tester, draft tester, heater tester, and electric line logger to determine efficiency of the house.
• Diagnose heater units for efficiency, health and safety.
• Install energy savings methods such as thermostats, water heater wrap, pipe wrap, shower heads, low flow aerators and high efficiency lighting.
• Input audit/ inspection data into program software.
• Generate work orders according to program specifications
• Follow BPI protocol
• Reschedule appointments with office staff as needed.
• Maintain oil, transmission and coolant levels in assigned vehicle.
• Maintain supplies and equipment
• Audits, Proposals and Final Inspections must follow program guidelines.
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Education – BA preferred; Associates Degree or Technical Training plus equivalent experience required.
• BPI Building Analyst certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Competency in Safe Work Practices
• Working knowledge of building science principles and basic construction
• Basic computer skills
• Demonstrate basic verbal and written communication skills

Work Experience:

• Previous work experience in weatherization required.
• An aptitude for math and science is essential as well as the ability to use hand tools, ladders and operate vehicles safely.
• Capable of accurately measuring square footage, volume, windows, doors.
• Ability to Lift and Carry up to 50lbs, bend, crawl and kneel

Title: Energy Efficiency Crew Leader

Reports To: Field Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Education: Associates Degreee, Technical Training, plus High School diploma. The ability to complete Technical Training from ECA or BPI certifications.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the Weatherization or construction related field.
• Familiarity with Lead Safe Work Practices and Installer competencies.
• Possess working knowledge of building science principles
• Supervisory skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Prior Crew leader or field supervisory experience preferred.
• Crew Leaders should possess a working knowledge of basic carpentry with some experience in framing, insulation as well as working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and masonry.
1. Competence in basic math and science
2. Competency in materials and methods in use of electrical and manual hand tools in construction of and repair of houses with the ability to perform tasks safely.
3. Physically fit to carry materials and equipment up to 75 lbs up three flights of stairs, extension ladders and roof tops.
4. Crew leaders must display the potential to learn on the job as well as complete required trainings.
• Must have valid drivers license.

Work Experience:

• Previous work experience in weatherization.
• Supervisory experience
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Crew Leaders are responsible for weatherization and residential home repairs and installations including insulation, doors, windows, partitions, drywall ceilings and walls in client’s homes or other job sites.
• Manage a crew of installers so weatherization work is conducted safely, effectively and efficiently to national standards
• Ensure that the job site and Installers comply with Safe Work Practices.
• Perform physical activities that require climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping, and handling of construction materials.
• Possess a working knowledge of BPI and WAP Standards and follow these.
• Safely handle 40’ or smaller extension ladders, step ladders.
• Conduct Blower Door diagnostic air sealing.
• Responsible for crew performance, obtaining job supplies, communication and rescheduling as needed and job site safety measures.
• Communicate effectively with fellow crew and staff
• Provide high quality energy education to clients.
• Provide excellent customer service
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Title: Weatherization Installer 

Reports To: Crew Leader, Field Supervisor.

Qualifications:
• Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. Technical Training Diploma, BPI, HERS certifications preferred.
• Competency in Lead Safe Work Practices.
• Good communication skills: written and verbal, solid math skills.
• Basic carpentry skills with experience in framing, insulating and air sealing as well as some knowledge of electrical, plumbing and masonry.
1. Working knowledge of math and science, as well as the competency to read and report accurate measurements using a tape measure.
2. Working knowledge in materials and methods in use of electrical and manual hand tools in construction of and repair of houses.
3. Competency with the Blower Door is preferred. Must be physically fit to carry materials and equipment up to 75 lbs up three flights of stairs.
4. Ability to learn on the job as well as in future trainings.
5. Must be able to follow all ECA Safety and personnel policies.
• Must pass required training within first 90 days of employment.
• Must have valid drivers license

Work Experience:
• At least one year of previous work experience in weatherization, construction or home remodeling or related work preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform energy efficiency installations and treatments including air sealing, insulation, clock thermostats, pipe wrap, tank wrap, doors, windows, insulation partitions, drywall ceilings and walls.
• Perform physical activities that require, climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping, and handling of construction materials.
• Perform duties using Safe Work Practices.
• Safely handle 40’ or smaller extension ladders, step ladders.
• Keep Truck and jobsite clean and safe, restock trucks at the end of the day .
• Communicate effectively with fellow crew, staff and clients.
• Other Duties as assigned
