The Energy Coordinating Agency is a private, non-profit corporation dedicated
to ensuring that low and moderate income people have access to safe, affordable
and reliable sources of energy and water. ECA works to develop a sustainable
energy future for the region through energy conservation and renewable energy.
ECA coordinates and provides energy conservation services to thousands of
households in the Philadelphia area every year. Together with its citywide
network of Neighborhood Energy Centers (NEC's), ECA provides over 50,000
energy services to more than 30,000 low income households every year.

Thanks to all of you for your generous support of our benefit at the Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center on April 23, 2008. Assistant Managing Director Mannwell Glenn presented ECA’s first Excellence in Energy Education Award to Tony Auth, the Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonist at The Philadelphia Inquirer, for his masterful work which makes us think, laugh and act on the most important environmental issues of our time.
